We often speak of healing the inner child as if it’s a soft, whimsical journey of play and self-love. But an inner child work is often raw, disorienting, and deeply confronting.

It requires us to face the parts of ourselves we’ve buried: the grief we never gave ourselves permission to feel, the anger we were taught to repress, the fear we normalized because there was no other choice.

At some point, healing means choosing responsibility over victimhood. Not because what happened was your fault but because staying in blame keeps you small.

There comes a moment where you stop asking “Why did no one come save me?”, and instead, you realize:
I am the one I’ve been waiting for.

Meeting your inner child is only one side of the work.
The other is remembering that, no matter your age, you now have access to an inner adult; someone who can make different choices.

And that’s where healing truly begins, not in the memories, but in the now. In the boundaries you set, the patterns you interrupt, the love you no longer abandon.

Yesterday’s fire ceremony for the Summer Solstice left me quiet. Not in the absence-of-words kind of way but the kind of quiet that follows something sacred, something real.

It was intense. It was vulnerable.

Emotional healing is not just light work. Sometimes it is—radiant, expansive, full of insight and clarity. But more often, it is the work of sitting with both light and shadow, of integrating the parts of you that feel divine and the parts that still ache. It’s about learning to hold the full spectrum of your humanity without turning away.

Deep healing brings you into contact with what you’ve buried—your grief, your anger, your fear, your sensitivity, your unmet needs. It’s intense, not because you’re doing it wrong, but because it touches the truth of who you are beneath the coping mechanisms. And when that truth finally begins to rise, it deserves to be met with presence, not pressure.

But intensity doesn’t always have to feel explosive or chaotic. Healing doesn’t demand collapse. In fact, the most transformative moments often happen in the breath that returns, the heartbeat that steadies, the sudden sense that a part of you has finally been heard after years of silence. This is the paradox: healing can be deeply intense, and yet profoundly soft—at the very same time.

In my work—through Reiki, past life healing, numerology, and ceremony—I hold space for the layered nature of healing. I don’t ask you to bypass your shadow, but I also don’t let you forget your light. We meet the truth together. The grief, the insight, the karmic weight, the energetic shifts—and we welcome it all at the pace your system can hold. 🌿
